Mallard Creek shuts out Robinson

Mallard Creek performed flawlessly in their incredible victory over Robinson on November 1.  From the very first quarter, the Mavericks dominated the game and went on to win in a 62-0 shutout victory.

Jaylen Samuels got things started for Mallard Creek with four touchdowns in three carries and a reception in the first quarter, gaining 55 rushing yards along the way.  Those scores were only four of the six touchdowns the Mavericks marked in the first.

In the second, Lawrence Pittman rushed the ball in from 38 yards out on one of his 4 carries for 95 yards.  Mallard Creek went into the half leading 49-0 with 225 rushing yards compared to Robinson’s -4 yards on the ground.

Running back DiShon Chambers added on two more touchdowns in the second half, boosting the Mavs total rushing yards to 332 out of the total 419 yards of offense.  Chambers finished with 135 yards on six carries.

Mallard Creek’s defense was spectacular, only allowing four first downs, three of which came from penalties.  On top of that, Robinson was only able to muster up 41 total offensive yards in the game.

By the end of the game, Mallard Creek led 62-0.

Advancing to 10-0, the Mavericks currently stand at 15th in the DigitalSports National Football Rankings and 1st in North Carolina.

Mallard Creek clashes with North Mecklenburg on November 8 in their final game of the season.
